This option covers only the stand space, i.e. not stand fittings or back walls – UNLESS you have booked the “first-time exhibitor package”. In this case you get a modular system stand and other services.
We work with reliable professional stand construction companies that provide both modular and customized stands at reasonable prices. Individual elements, such as back walls and carpeting, can also be ordered.
The first-time exhibitor package includes stand construction, power supply and additional PR services (e.g. a slot for a talk in the supporting program, promotion on the website as a first-time exhibitor, 2,500 free banner ads, etc.)
The marketing fee is obligatory irrespective of when you book your stand. It covers a range of services, e.g. entry in the trade fair catalogue and online with your company logo and PR text, full-page advertisement on the website, free admission tickets for guests and free unlimited quantities of advertising material, as well as VIP Cards (quantity according to the size of your stand).
It covers services (e.g. electricity supply/consumption, water supply, additional tickets and parking permits) and is an advance lump sum charged irrespective of actual usage or number ordered. After the actual charges are calculated these are taken into account in the final bill, which is sent a few weeks after the event.
The deadline for registrations is generally about six weeks before for the event. Only exhibitors registering by this deadline can be sure of receiving all services on time and without additional charges.
You can order power supply and other technical services via the online portal of the Cologne exhibition centre (Koelnmesse). Every exhibitor will be sent the log-in data in time to make arrangements.
Unfortunately, due to fire protection considerations no storage space is available in the halls. If storage space is required, our trade fair partner DB Schenker offers a range of options.
The “Technical Guidelines” of the Cologne Exhibition Centre set out the construction guidelines and requirements. The exhibitor or authorized company is obliged to construct the stand in accordance with these stipulations. No separate or special stand permit is required as long as the stand complies with these guidelines. The maximum stand height, including advertising banners, is 6.5 m, with a one metre space to all stand boundaries. On the outer edge of the stand no construction should exceed a maximum height of 3.50 m. These rules are not applicable to exhibits. Other construction limitations may apply due to the height of the hall. Exemptions from the restriction on maximum height may be granted if submissions to the organizers Nordwestdeutsche Messegesellschaft include the written consent of neighbouring exhibitors.
An additional charge of 300 € applies to co-exhibitors. Co-exhibitors are entitled to the same documentation, e.g. exhibitor pass, parking permit, passes for guests, etc. These will be sent to them directly. Co-exhibitors are also entered in the trade fair catalogue and on the Internet site.
The deadline for entries in the catalogue is the same as the registration deadline. After that date no entries in the print catalogue are possible.
Exhibitor passes and parking permits are free of charge. The quantity supplied depends on the size of the stand. They will be sent to exhibitors in good time before the opening of the trade fair.
Booking via the Hotel/Travel service (see Travel/Accommodation) will ensure the latest offers at the best prices. The accommodation in hotels closest to the exhibition venue in Köln-Deutz is limited so prices there tend to be higher. There are excellent alternatives in the historic quarter (Altstadt) of Cologne which can be quickly reached by public transport. Cologne main station (Kölner Hauptbahnhof) is only 2 minutes away from the trade fair location (Koelnmesse Deutz) by rail transit (S-Bahn).
