Germany’s biggest Trade fair for volume goods, promotional items and trend articles, IAW is scheduled to take place from 7–9 March 2016 at the Cologne Exhibition Grounds. The International Trade Fair for Retail Promotions and Imports will occupy Halls 6 and 9, where more than 300 exhibitors will showcase top-selling products ranging from familiar bargain-priced stock to exciting trend-led merchandise.
Shower gel, ornamental rabbits, high-tech gadgets or barbeques: wholesalers and retail buyer will find every imaginable product displayed on an area the size of seven football fields. The trade fair showcases products that will appeal to professional visitors and are destined to boost their sales figures. The theme of the event reflects the spring and summer seasons so visitors can expect some great deals and products ideally suited to impulse purchasing and upcoming sporting events such as the UEFA European Cup and the Summer Olympics.
For the first time, two days of the IAW will run parallel to the INTERNATIONAL HARDWARE FAIR at the same venue. In order to ensure that exhibitors and trade visitors derive the maximum benefits from this, the 2016 IAW Spring Fair will take place from Monday to Wednesday.
The trade fair will be augmented by an attractive supporting program. Experts from the marketing and retail sector speaking at the Trendforum this spring will give brief talks full of ideas and tips on how dealers and retailers can improve their business. Key issues such as customer loyalty, geo-marketing, how to succeed in e-commerce and sales psychology are among the topics that will be discussed. The Forum will be moderated by Ralf Kühler, who is a well-known and experienced personality from the German sales channel Channel 21. One of the highlights of the Trendforum is the presentation of the IAW Trendseller Product Award, which is bestowed on innovative products selected by a panel of experts. The award ceremony starts at 4.45 p.m. on Monday, 7 March.
