Ensuring the safety of exhibitors, visitors and service partners at the IAW in March 2021: Overview of distancing rules and hygiene measures for our trade fair.
Comprehensive registration process
All participants (visitors, exhibitors, service personnel and others) will be registered for the purposes of track and trace and will be notified in the event of a covid contact.
Control of visitor traffic flow
Strict crowd management will be employed at the entrances and in the halls to control the flow of visitors and to avoid undesired crowding at the venue.
No admission to anyone with symptoms
Attendees with obvious cold symptoms will not be admitted to the IAW.
Contactless ticket control
Scanners (no contact!) will be used at the entrances and tickets will be available only online.
Observance of 1.5 m distancing in aisles
The aisles and walkways will be generously spaced in order to ensure at least 1.5 m physical distancing.
Widened aisles
Where necessary, aisles and visitor traffic areas will be widened so that exhibitors and visitors can move around easily, thus ensuring adherence to physical distancing rules.
Observance of strict hygiene routine
A regular cleaning routine, in particular for shared areas and frequently touched surfaces, will be implemented.
Good ventilation
Modern ventilation systems will ensure a good exchange of fresh air in entrance areas, exhibition halls and conference areas.
Handwashing and disinfection stations
There will be a large number of facilities for washing and sanitizing hands at all entrances, information stands and catering areas.
Medical staff
Medical personnel will be on hand at the venue to offer assistance where required.
Do not shake hands
Obligation to wear masks
Face masks must be worn correctly (covering both nose and mouth) in all aisles, walkways and communal areas! Masks may be removed only when the wearer is sitting at the relevant trade fair stand.
Observe 1.5 m distancing rule
Generous spacing of stands
When planning the stands it is necessary to take account of the rules on minimum distancing and the provision of ample sanitizer and disinfectant dispensers.
Frequent handwashing
Position as of August 2020. Guidance will be adapted to changes in regulations and rules.
The Covid restrictions for trade fairs and events in North Rhine-Westphalia were lifted in April 2022. However, Nordwestdeutsche Messegesellschaft strongly recommends that you only enter the trade fair grounds if you have been vaccinated against, have recently recovered from or have tested negative for Covid, and to wear a medical mouth nose protection voluntarily. We reserve the right to align our measures with the dynamics of the Covid situation and make changes if necessary. You are kindly requested to refer to the latest Covid instructions at our website to prepare your visit.
