The next IAW – the leading trade show for promotional and trend-led products – will be taking place in late February 2013. Boasting unrivalled variety and a first-class supporting program, this important trade fair will once again be the highlight of the season for buyers from Germany and other countries.
It may be frosty in February 2013 outside on the Cologne Exhibition Grounds, but things will definitely be hotting up inside in Hall 10.2. The 17th IAW – from 26 to 28 February 2013 – will live up to the reputation set by its predecessors as the leading trade fair for orders of promotional products, trend-led products and best-selling merchandise. The coming event will focus on successful product categories such as garden and seasonal products for the spring and summer trade. Whether seed or plant containers, garden furniture or barbeques and parasols – the IAW offers so much to capture the imagination of the trade public and enthuse the buyers. Of course, the 300-plus exhibitors taking part will also be showcasing products that can be sold all year round, such as books, textiles, tools, decorative items, toys and confectionery. Scheduling the trade fair so early in the year means that products can be ordered and delivered in time for the Easter trade.
Maximum diversity for maximum turnover: this could almost be the motto of the 17th IAW in Cologne. Each of the previous sixteen events delivered excellent results. In fact, each of them broke new records in terms of exhibitor attendance and visitor numbers. Everything suggests that this will once again be the case in February as the organizers of the IAW have already received numerous stand bookings. To make sure that the IAW remains topical and relevant the organizers have been actively seeking exciting new products across the world that could celebrate their German debut at the IAW.
First-time exhibitors at the IAW in February 2013 will be able to benefit from an introductory package that offers attractive conditions. Apart from stand space, IAW newcomers will get stand assembly and an extensive PR package at a small extra charge. Thus, exhibitors from Germany and other countries taking part in the IAW for the first time can try out the IAW as a showcase for their products and enjoy the complete range of services at a minimal charge.
In addition to an impressively broad range of products, trade visitors can look forward to a very informative and varied supporting program. Leading experts in the trade will be speaking on current issues and keynote themes at the IAW Trend Forum. They will share their know-how and insider information with forum participants, offering practice-based information, tips on day-to-day practice and concrete examples. This represents true added value for visitors. Various topics have been proposed, including: “Growth strategies to help the trade win the support of consumers” and “Forward-looking strategies for the trade”, which will examine the necessity of raising standards and offering the consumer better service. The forum program will be moderated by the well-known German TV presenter and shopping channel expert Ralf Kühler.
Who dares wins: this applies to the 17th IAW, which again invites exhibitors to take part in the Trendseller Product Award competition. Manufacturers of particularly innovative products are encouraged to submit their exhibits to a high-calibre panel of experts from trade associations and the media. The winner will be announced and presented with the award during the trade show in February.
