After a successful 30th anniversary event the organizers of the International Trade Fair for Retail Promotions and Imports (IAW) in Cologne are now preparing the 31st IAW. From Tuesday 10 – Thursday 12 March 2020 the Cologne Exhibition Halls will be a hotspot for trend-setting and top-selling products from all over the world.
The International Trade Fair for Retail Promotions and Imports is Europe’s biggest event for orders of promotional and trend-led products, as well as volume sales. For manufacturers, importers and wholesalers the IAW represents a highly effective sales platform, offering a display area of 30,000 m2 in exhibition halls 6 and 9 at the Cologne trade fair venue. The IAW in March 2020 is expected to attract a visitor attendance similar to the anniversary event, which welcomed approx. 9,000 trade professionals. The remarkable diversity of the product range explains the success of the IAW in generating business leads and cooperation. The IAW covers every key segment and market niche, ranging from body care and health products to household goods and innovative technology. Importantly, the IAW provides an accurate reflection of the latest business and technological trends. Thus, at its anniversary event a focus was placed on the topical issues of security in contactless card payment and alternative green and sustainable products.
As in previous years the 31st IAW will feature an E-Commerce Arena staged by RESTPOSTEN.de within the dedicated e-commerce quarter with its wide array of stands of software suppliers and platform and service providers. This part of the event not only serves the needs of online shops, but also presents conventional brick-and-mortar providers with opportunities to find new sales sources. Zentrada.de, the network for buyers and wholesalers, is another important partner taking part in the trade fair, together with popular bloggers from Multichannel Rock Stars. Their participation ensures that the IAW in March 2020 will benefit from a line-up of prominent marketing authorities speaking on key topics, in particular, e-commerce. The IAW recognized at an early stage that the future of the retail trade is primarily online. For this reason the IAW itself recently relaunched its own website.
The next IAW will take place in March 2020 on the days of the week that have proven most popular – from Tuesday to Thursday – which allows buyers and exhibitors to plan their stay around their business schedule. Exhibitors have time until 20 December 2019 to plan their stand space and take advantage of the early booking discount, while first-time exhibitors at the IAW not only benefit from this discount but also from the complete stand assembly package.
The IAW team also advises visitors to register early. Free tickets can already be reserved online, whereas a full-event ticket bought at the event costs € 69.
