Information on the environmental badge:
No environmental badge is required to drive to the Cologne exhibition grounds! However, if you plan to drive in the inner city area, you must purchase an environmental badge beforehand. Click here to see in which regions the environmental badge is mandatory.

Arrival by plane
Travel quickly and comfortably by plane via Cologne/Bonn Airport.
Cologne/Bonn International Airport (Kennedystrasse, 51147 Cologne) is located on the south-eastern outskirts of the city in Cologne-Grengel and is only about an hour’s flight from major European cities such as Berlin, Munich, Paris, Copenhagen and Prague , London, Milan and Zurich to Cologne. From there you can reach the exhibition grounds in just a short time.
Hotel booking
Book hotel rooms at top conditions in selected Koelnmesse partner hotels close to the trade fair. Please make your reservation as soon as possible, as other events are taking place at the same time on the exhibition grounds in Cologne.
We work exclusively with the official accommodation agency of Koelnmesse.
Other travel agencies that contact you may be fraudulent organizations, some of which use very aggressive (telephone) marketing. We advise caution!
VISA application
Please find out in good time before the start of the event about the entry regulations that apply to you and we will send you an official invitation letter from the IAW trade fair, which you must present for your visa application. Once you have entered your personal details, we will send you the invitation letter by e-mail.

Admission tickets are only available online.
Cases and bags
Visitors are not permitted to take large suitcases, trolleys and rucksacks into the exhibition halls. Please hand them in at the checkroom for a fee; this also applies to very large, obviously empty bags. Briefcases, handbags and pilot’s cases in the size of flight luggage (approx. 55 x 40 x 20 cm) are permitted
Smoking ban
Please note that smoking is not permitted by law in closed rooms and therefore also in the halls of the IAW trade fair! Covered smoking areas are available in the outdoor areas of the halls.
